About John O'Boyle
Bass / Vocals
When John O’Boyle’s parents allowed him to perform in clubs in his youth, little did they know they were fostering a lifelong passion for music that would lead John to studio sessions with the likes of Michael Sweet and Kenny Aronoff. With credit on more than 20 records and his basslines heard in movies and TV shows, John’s entrance into the Tom Ingram Band in 2004 was a no-brainer. Known for his authentic grooves and attention to detail he’s able to smoothly lock-in with definitive drummers and has played bass over the years with regional acts like the Frank Manzi Band and the Chris Piquette Band. A sought-after session musician, John has recorded with a number of regional and national artists - Ed Toth (Doobie Brothers, Vertical Horizon), Barry Kingston and the Screaming Souls, Heather Maloney, and Jamie Kent and The Options to name a few - and is part of a trio (with Joe Boyle/Guitar and Chris Ryan/Drums) often requested by Spirithouse Music in Northampton, MA for various album projects. After more than 10 years now with the Tom Ingram Band, John has found the perfect stage to showcase his broad range of talent and experience.
